Did Jesus die on the cross? The Qur'an contradicts the Bible when it says that Jesus did not die on the cross: And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. (Sura 4.157) The death of Jesus is one of the best attested facts of the Bible and ancient history. Jesus told His followers that He would die on the cross: From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go
to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief
priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third
day be raised to life. (Matthew 16:21) See also Matthew 27:33-66 If you prove that Jesus did not die on the cross then you disprove Christianity.
